Dual Two-Level Voltage Source Inverter Virtual Inertia Emulation: A Comparative Study

In this paper, the virtual synchronous generator (VSG) concept is utilized in controller of grid-connected dual two-level voltage source inverter (DTL VSI). First, topology VSG and DTL VSI are presented. Then, state-space equations (TL VSI), regarding presence phase-locked loop (PLL) VSG, given. Next, small-signal modeling TL realized. Eventually, stability enhancement compared with demonstrated. VSI, large values inertia could result oscillations power system. However, ability damping deduced. Furthermore, nonlinear loads, potentiality reducing grid current Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) evaluated. Finally, by using a proper reference command signal, abilities supplying loads providing assessed simultaneously. The simulation results prove advantages emulation oscillation damping, which realized analysis.
